About us

Lavender Fiber Co. started in 2022. It all started with my love of crocheting. I have been crocheting on and off for over 20 years. I decided that I would pass the skill to my kids. My daughter Madi started crocheting after I told her that sewing might be a little dangerous with the sharp needles and her being so young. She quickly taught herself to knit shortly after. She begged me to start knitting, I told her no repeatedly. One day I decided to finally give in and I quickly got obsessed with yarns and that grew to adoring hand dyed yarns. I decided that I could teach myself to dye yarn and so I did. I sold my first skein of overdyed yarn on Facebook and my husband, the innovated man that he is, created me a website and the rest was history.

Mr. Lavender's was surrounded by some talented crafty ladies. He grew up with a grandmother that crocheted all the time and she'd make doilies. He also had a mother that had a natural talent for quilting and sewing as if it was second nature.

We are happy to have stumbled across this company. Never in a million years did we ever think that what we grew up around would ultimately give us the freedoms to become small business owners and to also give us so many blessings.
