Introducing, “Wedding Bouquet!” This colorway was inspired by a customer that requested a custom order. She will be my very first custom order I’ve ever done. And this is so fitting because it is from a fellow Korean. To me this means so much to, not only because I’m 100% Korean, (took a DNA test recently, waiting patiently the 4 weeks it takes to obtain the results) to double check since I don’t know my biological parents and I was adopted at the age of 3 when I was living in an orphanage in Seoul Korea. I was brought to the states to live the rest of my childhood to adulthood life in and never got the opportunity to go back. I could never speak Korean fluently and I never really felt I fit in with the other Korean kids. I never felt that I could fit in with the American kids either. I always felt like an outcast growing up.
This customer reached out to me a couple of days ago to not only help gift her brother and his future wife with the gift of a lifetime for their wedding on their special day, (I hope they’re knit worthy) 🥹 I’m sure they are if she’s willing to dedicate so much time into knitting their lovely gift. But she also told me she wanted to support me as a fellow Korean too. 😭 This meant the most to me and brought tears of joy to my heart. So I got started on it right away and felt so inspired. Because of her, I feel this colorway is one of my most favorite and is so perfectly fitting for our Vintage Floral Collection.
