Say hello to, “Chuseok!” Our Korean holiday colorway. Chuseok is a version of a Korean Thanksgiving. Chuseok is one of the biggest and most celebrated holidays in Korea. I will never forget the traffic. It is nothing like I have ever seen or read on the news. It took our family 30 minutes to move 4 miles down the road. People were on the side of the road grilling. How they had a bbq grill with them, I will never know. We ended up having to stay at a hotel for the night until the the traffic was better to attempt the next day. Luckily it is celebrated into three days.
Chuseok has every Korean dish imaginable. Everyone is dressed in Hanboks, which are traditional formal wear for Koreans. The kids all get money too. I kept getting 10,000 won (equaled to about $13 back then) and had no idea why, but any place that has food and money giving, I was excited to be at as a little kid.
